Like many Waikato residents David was attracted to the Bay of Plenty in his teens, not just to the sunshine, harbour and beaches, but the vibrance within Tauranga and Mount Maunganui and the Lifestyle it offered its residents.
A family decision to relocate and establish business interest in the Bay took place in the early seventies with the move to Tauranga
David had by this time already invested in property borne by a confidence that the city had huge growth potential as more people became attracted to the climate and opportunities the region offered.
For the next fifteen years David was deeply involved in developing and establishing service stations in the Bay which he owned and operated until the government deregulated the oil industry in the late eighties.
For fourteen years David shared with four partners in the hands on development of a large Kiwifruit orchard which as a team effort was successful through what were difficult years in the industry.
A continued interest and involvement with property attracted David into the rural sector of the Real Estate industry providing an opportunity and satisfying his desire to return to providing a service for past and new clients and an ongoing contact with people.
David has enjoyed sixteen years with Realty Services Limited under both their Eves rural and Bayleys country banners and recently transferred within the group to Eves Bethlehem to continue in the rual/lifestyle sector.
